Van Driver (Pool)

The Van Driver performs a variety of direct patient care activities including:
assisting and accompanying all patients who are transferred to and from the facility via the facility van and assisting in maintenance when the van activities are complete.
This position provides direct patient care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

- Valid driver's license appropriate for the heaviest class vehicle to be driven- CPR and First Aid Training.
Minimum
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred- Previous transportation experience required- Must be 25 years of ageMachines, Equipment Used:
- General office equipment such as computer/laptop, telephone, copy/fax machine, calculator, scanner, etc.
- Transportation van and associated minor repair equipmentPhysical Requirements:
- Visual acuity, speech recognition, speech clarity.
- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds including medical supplies andequipment and the transferring and repositioning of patients.
Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing,and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements.
