Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Radiologic Technologist:
Must be registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Arkansas Dept.
of Health Licensure for Radiologic Technologist or registry eligible.
BLS required ACLS within 6 months of hire Or Cardiovascular Technician:
Must be a registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Arkansas State Dept.
of Health Limited Specialty License BLS required ACLS within 6 months of hire Education High School or GED Completion of a formal radiologic technology course in an AMA approved school.
Training in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology or a graduate of a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology program.
Performs Technical Aspects of Catheterization 1.
Assist Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) during Cardiac Catheterization and Electrophysiology procedures.
Must be able to wear lead apron for Radiation protection during procedures Performs hemodynamic monitoring of the patient during procedures Scrubs in during invasive procedures, assisting the LIP using proper sterile technique.
Circulates during procedures Utilizes all radiographic, hemodynamic, electrophysiology, Laboratory and emergency equipment properly.
Understands and utilizes all supplies and procedures performed in Cath Lab.
Is trained and able to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
Proficient in sending images to be viewed by LIP.
Additional duties as assigned.
Provides Quality Patient Care Screens patients with attention to pregnancy, allergy, contrast and any other contraindications.
Explains procedures to patients and families in an effective manner.
Demonstrates a professional and courteous manner in all interactions with patients and families.
Utilizes immobilization devices to control patient movement.
Must be able to take call for emergent procedures.
Utilizes effective collimation and shield to reduce radiation exposure to patient and other staff.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
